Direct cash cattle trade can be described as unimpressive this week. Heading into this afternoon, there’s only been some sporadic business take place across cattle country. Currently, the South is deadlocked as producers are holding out for more money. There have been a handful of deals reported in Nebraska at $168 live, $2 lower than the previous week’s weighted averages. Bids are at $168 live in the South and $267 dressed in the North with asking prices at $170 live in the South and $270 dressed in the North.
