A cattle market specialist says US beef exports are poised for a strong year in 2024.
Cameron Bruett with JBS says 2023 beef exports have been down from last year’s record performance. “Our exports are down quite a bit, led by China, which is down nearly 23% for the year. Japan is down 21%. As a total I think we’re down about 15% on beef exports.”
Speaking to the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association on Thursday, he said he expects more purchases from China.The U.S.
