Direct cash cattle trade activity has been relatively quiet early in the day following Wednesday’s very light round of business. Deals in the North were at mostly $275, which is $2 higher than the previous week’s weighted averages. There were some deals marked at $278, which is $5 higher than the previous week’s business. The South was quiet. Asking prices are around $175-plus live in the South and $276-plus dressed in the North. Look for more business to develop before the end of the week.
