Direct cash trade activity is picking up.  Another light round of business has been reported in Nebraska at $173 to $173.50 live, slightly below previous deals this week. But the rest of cattle country appears to be in a standoff. Bids are at $172 to $173 live in the South and $273 dressed in the North.  Asking prices in the South are at $174-plus live.  Previously reported business this week had dressed deals in the North marked at $275, $2 higher than the prior week’s business.
