Direct cash cattle trade is off to another slow start.  Business has been slow to develop this week largely because of weather concerns as the country braces for another shot of winter weather.  Bids and asking prices aren’t fully established.  Asking prices in the South are around $174-plus live.  There was some scattered trade reported in parts of Iowa on Wednesday at $175 live and $275 dressed, but not near enough business to establish an accurate price trend for the week.
