As farmers explore more sustainable agronomic solutions, the market for biologicals continues to grow.
Mick Messman, president and CEO of DPH Biologicals, says crop protection doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing investment, but instead can work “better together”. “Using biologicals with other existing solutions that can integrate into a farmer’s operation with how they farm,” he says.
He tells Brownfield sustainable practices still need to be functional. “They need the products to provide a positive return on investment,” he says. “And the DPH Biologicals approach by working within their system is one we think is scalable. It’s been embraced by farmers and retailers. It’s a good foundation for us to help them and learn more about biologicals and have a higher degree of confidence in using them.”
DPH Biologicals recently announced a change in leadership, to a private management group.
