The Indiana State Department of Agriculture will fund $6.4 million in projects that support the middle of the food supply chain.

The agency says businesses and producers from the farm gate to the end retail market, or part of processing and distribution, can apply for funds to be used by 2027.

Some products, including meat, poultry, and wild-caught seafood, are ineligible for the grants.

Applications will be accepted until March 8.
