Direct cash cattle trade activity is quiet, typical for a Monday.  Bids and asking prices have yet to be established.  Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until midweek or later. Business was limited last week and was delayed until Friday.  Northern trade had a range of $272 to $277, mostly $274 which was roughly $1 higher than the prior week’s weighted average basis in Nebraska.  There was some light, scattered business in Kanas at $173 live, $1 higher than the prior week’s business.
