Chicago Mercantile Exchange live and feeder cattle futures were lower on profit taking ahead of this week’s direct business and Wednesday’s USDA Cattle Inventory report. Both pits tried to rally, with feeders taking the lead on the lower move in corn, but were unable to follow through. February live was down $1.07 at $177.37 and April was $.45 lower at $181.22. March feeders were $1.07 lower at $238.62 and April was down $1.00 at $244.60.
