Milk futures were higher and the cash dairy markets were steady to higher Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

February Class III milk was up $0.08 at $16.21.  March was up $0.28 at $17.26.  April was up $0.21 at $17.56.  May was up $0.22 at $17.93.  

June through December contracts ranged from unchanged in October and December to twenty-three cents higher in June.  Monday’s Class III trade volume had just over eleven hundred contracts. 

Dry whey remains unchanged at $0.52.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0150 at $1.5850.  One sale was recorded at $1.59. 

Cheese barrels were up $0.0175 at $1.5950.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.59 to $1.5950. 

Butter was up $0.0225 at $2.7125.  No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.20.   No sales were recorded.
