Across the Corn Belt, temperatures have fallen from recent, record-setting levels but remain above normal.  With recent warmth having effectively eradicated any remaining Midwestern snow cover, some producers are contending with muddy conditions while traveling rural roads or accessing livestock.

On the Plains, near- or below-normal temperatures have replaced previously mild conditions.  Recent snowfall on the central and southern High Plains provided rangeland, pastures, and winter grains with beneficial moisture.  On February 11, daily-record snowfall totals in Texas totaled 5.6 inches in Amarillo and 3.6 inches in Lubbock.
