The new Digital Agriculture Research and Extension Center at the University of Missouri plans to compare and connect emerging digital technologies with farmers.

Co-director Dr. Jianfeng Zhou tells Brownfield research will include using artificial intelligence to analyze crop production data and management solutions.

“To generate the recommendation for farmers rather than the data itself,” he says.

Zhou says he expects widespread use of drones, autonomous machinery, and sensors over the next ten years in agriculture.
