Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and precipitation across most of the country.  Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to parts of southern California and peninsular Florida, while drier-than-normal weather should be limited to portions of the northern Plains and Rio Grande Valley, as well as an area across the South from eastern Texas to the southern Atlantic States.
