Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were mostly lower Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
March Class III milk was down $0.28 at $16.96. April was down $0.32 at $17.17. May was down $0.22 at $17.55. June was down $0.15 at $17.90.
July through January contracts ranged from unchanged in November and January to eleven cents lower in December. Wednesday’s Class III trade volume was 2,947 contracts.
Dry whey was down $0.0125 at $0.4275. Two sales were recorded at $0.42 and $0.4275.
