March Class III milk was down $0.03 at $16.44. April was down $0.15 at $15.77. May was down $0.02 at $16.32. June was down $0.09 at $17.04.
July through January contracts ranged from unchanged from October through January to seven cents lower in September. Tuesday’s Class III trade volume was 1,093 contracts.
Dry whey was up $0.0050 at $0.42. No sales were recorded.
The block-barrel spread is tightening up, but the unusual trend of barrels selling higher continues.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.4350. No sales were recorded.
Cheese barrels were down $0.04 at $1.42. Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.42 to $1.4350.
Butter was up $0.03 at $2.8325. One sale was recorded at that price.
Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0025 at $1.17. One sale was recorded at that price.
