At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were up, watching the rest of the week’s direct business develop at higher prices. April live cattle closed $.30 higher at $187.25 and June lives closed $.22 higher at $183.50. April feeder cattle closed $.95 higher at $252.12 and May feeders closed $1.17 higher at $256.
There was a moderate direct cash cattle trade that took place Thursday and Friday. For the week, live deals in the South were at $186, $1 higher than the previous week’s business.
