Milk futures and the cash dairy markets continued to fall Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
April Class III milk was down $0.17 at $15.57. May was down $0.09 at $16.16. June was down $0.13 at $16.86. July was down $0.10 at $17.67.
August through February contracts ranged from six cents lower in August to two cents higher in September. Friday’s Class III trade volume was lower with 2,040 contracts.
Dry whey was down $0.01 at $0.3950. Two sales were recorded at $0.3950 and $0.4025.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0050 at $1.3925. Thirteen sales were recorded, ranging from $1.3875 to $1.40.
Cheese barrels were down $0.0450 at $1.4250.
