A group of biofuel supporters, including the Renewable Fuels Association and the National Corn Growers Association, are asking the Environmental Protection Agency to provide an emergency summer waiver for E-15 quickly.
In a letter to the EPA the group says there are extreme and unusual circumstances happening across the world that are affecting fuel supplies. And allowing the summertime sale of E15 would be cost effective for U.S. consumers, contribute to energy security and support America’s farmers and rural communities.
