U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says some pork producers are struggling to comply with California’s Proposition 12 Law.
“The law has only been in effect for a few months,” he said in a press call with farm reporters Thursday. “They are already making these negative effects very evident. Producers are struggling to comply with overbearing regulation while already facing increased production costs.”
The Iowa Republican says he’s continuing his push for the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression Act, or EATS Act, which would prevent states from regulating interstate trade and agricultural practices.
