A southeast Iowa farmer says he’s eager to get the planting season underway.
Tim Meyer tells Brownfield some rain showers this week have helped replenish his subsoils. “Long rains, slow rains like we’ve gotten here are much needed,” he said, “and hopefully they get down in deep and it’s something we can hang on to as we move through the summer.”
He says planting work has already started in some parts of the state.
