Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were mostly higher Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

The next three months saw the highest gains. April Class III milk was up $0.09 at $15.57.  May was up $0.50 at $16.41.  June was up $0.53 at $17.04.  July was up $0.40 at $17.61.  

August through February contracts ranged from unchanged in December, January, and February to sixteen cents higher in August.  Friday’s Class III trade volume was slightly lower with 1,848 contracts. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.39.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0750 at $1.5150.  Eight sales were recorded, ranging from $1.5150 to $1.5325. 

Cheese barrels were up $0.08 at $1.53.  Thirteen sales were recorded, ranging from $1.53 to $1.5425. 

Butter was up $0.01 at $2.94.  Five sales were recorded, ranging from $2.9050 to $2.94. 

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0125 at $1.1325.   Six sales were recorded, ranging from $1.13 to $1.1350.
