An eastern Nebraska farmer says he’s just a few days away from planting.
Quentin Connealy raises corn and soybeans along the Missouri River.
“We’ve been scratching the dirt a little bit prepping some ground,” he said. “We keep missing the rains. We missed this big one last week and I was really hoping for that one. Our planting window got pushed up and I think we could be planting here at the end of the week.”
He tells Brownfield the drought and weed control will be some of his biggest challenges.
