Artificial intelligence is improving the accuracy of weather forecasting.
Eric Snodgrass with Nutrien Ag Solutions says using artificial intelligence is a major move in modern weather forecasting. “Back on February 29th, The European Center for Medium Range Weather Forecasting, the ECMWF as we commonly call it, They released their A-I model to the public for free, and we’re testing it against all of our other forms of forecasting.”
Snodgrass says the Europeans built their A-I model based on historical data going back to 1940 and so far, “It has been a good performer.
