The southern Illinois fruit crop is off to a better start this year than last.
Austin Flamm, owner of Flamm Orchards in Union County, tells Brownfield…
“Coming off of the ‘23 season where we did not have a very good peach crop at all, I think we had probably 10% or less of a crop.” He says, “This year it’s already looking better than that.”
He says they have had to protect their strawberries from a few cold snaps.
