Minnesota farmers made good planting progress in-between the recent rains.

USDA says sugarbeets and oats are 29% planted. 12% of Minnesota’s barley is planted with 1% of the crop starting to emerge. Spring wheat is 18% planted with 2% of the crop emerged.

Minnesota’s corn is 8% planted and soybeans are 5% planted, both ahead of average for this time of the year.
