The Chair of the U.S. House Agriculture Committee has released his outline of farm bill policies and priorities, and a Republican member says he expects ag producers to be pleased.
Kansas Congressman Tracey Mann tells Brownfield, “There is going to be an increase for reference prices.”
“I think we’ve heard loud and clear from the committee that it is something that needs to be updated,” he says.
During a briefing with farm broadcasters this morning, Mann said committee members will see the base text of the legislation in the coming days and markup is planned for May 23rd.
