A Minnesota dairy farmer is concerned about her cows contracting highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Dana Allen-Tully of Eota says she’s focused on biosecurity and controlling the wild bird population.

“We try to do that as much as possible, but our animals aren’t comingled with others. So I think our risk is relatively low.”

Avian flu has been found in 39 dairy herds across nine states this spring.

“We haven’t seen anything in Minnesota as far as I know, or Wisconsin.
