A light direct cash cattle trade is developing.  Deals in Nebraska are at $295 to $296 dressed, fully steady with Wednesday’s business and $1 to $2 higher than the prior week’s weighted averages.  Asking prices are around $185 to $186 live in the South, and $297-plus dressed in the North.  It’s likely that more trade will develop as the day progresses.  There was a light round of business that took place late in the day Wednesday at $295 dressed in the North, $1 higher than the previous week’s weighted averages.
