The Global Dairy Trade index rose 1.8% in Tuesday’s trading session, with all products except lactose gaining in value.
Cheddar cheese made the biggest move, rising 8% to $4,257 per metric ton or $1.93 per pound.
Whole milk powder was up 2.4% to $3,350 per metric ton or $1.51 per pound.
Mozzarella cheese was up 2.3% to $3,840 per metric ton or $1.74 per pound.
The butter market was up 2.1% at $6,593 per metric ton or $2.99 per pound.
