A Michigan fruit grower says frost damage is still a threat.

Don Rasch tells Brownfield cold overnight temperatures at the end of April had little impact on his orchards north of Grand Rapids.

“We did have one major frost event, but so far so good,” he shares. “I’d say there’s minimum damage in certain low areas.”

Michigan State University Extension educators are reporting fruit damage in some plum, cherry, apple, and grape crops.
