A light to moderate direct cash cattle trade is developing in major feeding areas.  Dressed business in the North is marked at $295, generally steady with the previous week’s weighted averages.  Southern live deals have been marked at $184 to $185, steady to $1 higher than the prior week’s weighted averages.  Asking prices are firm at $186 to $187 live and $297-plus dressed in the North. 

Boxed beef is lower at midday, with light demand for moderate offerings.
