A central Illinois farmer says he’s optimistic about his winter wheat crop.
Paul Butler, who grows wheat, corn, and soybeans in Macon County, says his crop looks even better than last year.
“I had some really, really good wheat last year, at least I think it was, like 119 bushel.” He says, “Wheat is not very common here in Central Illinois. And I did it because it was a field that was tiled late in the year in order to just do something with it.
