The CEO of the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) says he’s pleased with the House Ag Committee’s farm bill proposal.
Bryan Humphreys tells Brownfield…
“Fully funding what we refer to at the National Pork Producers Council as the three legged stool of foreign animal disease prevention and preparedness.” He says, “That’s $233 million a year for the term of the farm bill and that’s a substantial investment.”
In addition to increased trade funding, he says the House’s solution to California’s Proposition 12 law would be good for the pork industry.
