The U.S. Meat Export Federation has received $21 million from the USDA to diversify export markets for U.S. ag goods.
Dan Halstrom tells Brownfield the USDA’s new Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP) allows the USMEF to expand in several different markets.
“We’re already seeing good, dramatic growth in places like Colombia and Central America. This will just help expedite that,” says Halstrom. “In the case of Africa, this funding will allow us to get more boots on the ground to actually have a physical presence in places like west Africa and Angola.”
Halstrom says the support from USDA is a phenomenal investment for agriculture.
