Northwest Ohio cooperative Mercer Landmark is focused on helping farmers with water quality issues across the Lake Erie Basin.
Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Brian Baldridge says the co-op’s support of the H2Ohio program helps expand conservation practices.
“Making sure that best practices are in place, the foundation of it is a voluntary nutrient management plans where farmers are truly soil testing those soils and knowing exactly what is needed for a bountiful crop,” he said.
