A worker at a dairy farm in Michigan has tested positive for avian influenza. This is the second case associated with the ongoing multistate outbreak of Influenza A in dairy cattle.
The CDC says additional human cases could be identified because of the high levels of the virus in raw milk. But, the CDC says the risk for the general public remains low, and sporadic human infections with no spread won’t change the CDC’s assessment.
