U.S. Congressman Adrian Smith says while the multistate outbreak of Influenza A in dairy cattle has not impacted Nebraska, it’s critical for producers to remain on high alert.

“It is in all of our interests to be very vigilant, make sure the science is understood by stakeholders, and ultimately work together to prevent bad things from happening in the livestock industry.”

The Nebraska Republican tells Brownfield the issue will take a whole-of-industry response to contain the spread.
