Cash dairy prices were mostly lower Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

Dry whey was down $0.0025 closing at $0.3975.  Four sales were recorded, ranging from $0.2950 to $0.3975. 

The cheese market was quiet Tuesday. Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0075 at $1.8625.  No sales were recorded. 

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.98.  No sales were recorded. 

The butter price dropped sharply by $0.12 to $3.0025. There were three sales ranging from $3.0025 to $3.01.
