An eastern Iowa cattle producer says he’s keeping a close eye on the situation involving dairy cattle being infected with avian influenza.
Lance Lillibridge raises red angus cattle in Benton County. “Any kind of disease outbreak that could detrimental to a herd could be detrimental to the entire herd in the U.S. and cause major problems.”
He tells Brownfield while the virus has been detected in poultry and dairy cattle, all livestock producers should be on high alert.
