A market analyst and crop insurance agent in northeast South Dakota says there’s already some prevent plant corn in portions of the Northern Plains.
DuWayne Bosse says the final planting date for corn was May 25 in portions of South Dakota and southern Minnesota.
“On the border of the two states there are some real wet spots there. Some farmers have struggled to even get started on corn. There will be prevent plant acres there,” he says.
