Cash cattle country had some light trade develop in the South on Thursday last week with a little cleanup business in Kansas on Friday. The range of live deals was $183 to $187, $1 lower than the previous week. The bulk of Northern dressed trade waited until Friday and had a range of $298 to $304, $3 lower than the week prior.

Boxed beef cutout values were higher at midday with Choice up $1.35 at $314.55 and Select up $2.24 at $303.95.
