Initially active weather across much of the country will eventually become consolidated along a cold front marching across the nation’s mid-section on Tuesday. Subsequently, the cold front will reach the Atlantic Coast States by Thursday, although cool, unsettled, showery weather will linger for several days across the Great Lakes States. Other areas of the country will get a reprieve from the incessantly stormy weather that spawned more than 500 U.S. tornadoes during May, according to preliminary reports.
