A farmer in southwest Minnesota says weed management has taken the top priority when conditions are right to spray.

“Once the corn has been sprayed, we switch to spraying soybeans.”

George Goblish tells Brownfield with all of the recent rains, the weeds have become a problem.

“There’s waterhemp, lambsquarter, grasses and some pigweeds. We applied a pre-emergence herbicide and there’s going to be some post-emergence herbicides applied.”

Goblish farms corn and soybeans in Redwood County, Minnesota.
