Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off, Free Junk Drop Off, and Free Compost Day will all end up on the same day next month. Superintendent of the Water Pollution Control Plant in Marshalltown, Bob Ranson, says these events are coming up May 17th. He first talks about the Free Compost.

Ranson says residents can drop off things like oils, paint thinner, and lithium batteries for power tools. Then finally there is a free junk drop off day

He says people will need to separate out their scrap metal before they drop anything off at the Junk Drop Off. Mark your calendars for May 17th for these free drop off days.
