Dr. Anne Howasare Boyens, the President of the Iowa Valley Community College District, spoke with us yesterday to detail their summer school courses coming up following the spring semester.

While the summer doesn’t last nearly as long as a typical school year, these courses, she says, are taken at a rapid pace.

Howasare Boyens says this is a great way for students at a 4-year institution to knock out those pesky general education classes lickety-split. To find out more or to enroll in these summer classes, head on over to the MCC or ECC website and click on apply, or, if you are a current student, just get in contact with your advisors. For those currently attending a 4-year university, she says to apply as a “guest student” so you don’t enroll as a student seeking a degree.
