Yesterday the Bobcat girls golf team traveled down to West Des Moines and Willow Creek Golf Course for the Valley Invite. Bobcat senior Natalie Henson flexed her muscles yesterday and showed Central Iowa who she is, she shot a 6 under par, 67 and was the medalist for the event.
That also helped push the Bobcats into the number 1 spot as a team as the Bobcats beat out 16 other teams including Ames who is a top team in the state. The girls have a week off to work on their game before their next tournament which is the Turk Bowman Invite in Ames.
The Bobcat girls track and field team held the Bobcat Invite last night at the Leonard Cole Field. As a team the girls were able to earn 75 points which put them right in the middle of the pack in 4th place.
The Bobcats were led by freshman sprinter, Grace Christensen who took gold in the 100 and 200 with times of 12.94 and 27.85 respectively. The girls run again on May 1st when they head to Mason City
