Farm Bureau works with local schools and their kindergarten classes to bring students out to Dusty Hill Farms to learn about agriculture and where food comes from. Owner of Dusty Hill Farms, Lynne Pfantz, says she loves having the visitors every year. She says they split the students up into a few different groups.

She says another group talks about baby chicks and the students get to hold a baby chick. Pfantz taught preschool for over 40 years so she loves teaching the students something new about farm life.

Kindergarteners from West Marshall and Marshalltown Schools are able to see life at Dusty Hill Farms. Anyone can head out their to their greenhouse which opens this weekend for the first time all season.
