The Marshalltown Police Department announced yesterday the arrest of Rachel Nelson-Loupee for charges of theft. Back on December 3rd, the Marshalltown Police Department began an investigation into the report of possible embezzlement. Nelson-Loupee turned herself in at the Marshall County Courthouse on Monday, April 21st.

She is accused of allegedly embezzling more than $10,000 from the Marshalltown Education Association from 2017 to 2024. Nelson-Loupee is a business teacher for the Marshalltown High School and as of Monday is still employed with the School District.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 9th.
