April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and this is an issue that law enforcement deals with in our community. For any victims, there is support out there, ACCESS is a nonprofit that helps Sexual Assault Victims. ACCESS stands for Assault Care Center Extending Shelter and Support.

That is Cassandra Carson the Diversity Domestic Abuse Advocate with ACCESS. She says that support can look different for each person and their situation. She says ACCESS covers 5 counties in Central Iowa and a phone call is the best way to get ahold of them.
