Wednesday 30th April 2025

Earlier this month we celebrated National Public Safety Telecommunicators week, which highlights the dispatchers in the call and communication centers. April 13 – 19th highlighted the dispatchers in the Marshall County 911 Communication Center. Rhonda Braudis, 911 Communication Director, gives her team a big shout out for all the hard work they do.

Braudis says being a dispatcher is a difficult job and sometimes emotions can run high. Because of that, they do constantly train and review different situations.

Her team works through calming techniques and different strategies so they can still get the necessary information. The dispatcher is going to be asking a lot of questions.

Braudis will be the guest for Central Iowa Today on Tuesday this week to further discuss what dispatchers do and how they help keep our community safe.
